Gluckskafer's coloured wooden products are protected by non-toxic water-based coloured stains which bring out the natural characteristics of the original wood.

Unlike lacquering, the grain of the wood shows through. The surface is also more encouraging of tactile development for the child as it feels more 'interesting', and appeals to the senses.
